Hi, I'm having trouble finding info from Benambra along Mt Hope Rd and onto Tom Groggin Track. I'm thinking it's not as difficult as going along Davies Plain Track? Appreciate any information. Thank you.

Hi Merilyn , A few years back travelled Tom Groggin to Benambra . Davies plain track - McCarthys track - Limestone creek track - limestone road _ Benambra Limestone road .
Towed the Tvan with petrol 4.5 landcruiser no worries except for one small section of Mc Carthys track which was very dry and dusty and a bit slippery on a few steep sections ( we travelled just after school holidays hence the dust build up) .

We went down there somewhere years ago (I forget the track names). My only comment is to watch out for the water bars - some were really big, steep & rutted. On the bigger ones if we put the car/tvan wheels in the ruts the stone deflectors would scrape on the top/sides of the water bars, bending them (Mk3 with long drawbar & no box, Prado with 50mm lift). That would be more of an issue if you have a front box as it won't bend nicely.
